Our Technology

We have always been a technological front-runner in the dental lab industry. We are proud to serve new materials and processes developed by industry leaders
Digital Impression Scanners

Digital Impression Scanners

With new technology always coming, digital scanners have recently been growing in popularity. Instead of the traditional impression material that dentists would put into the mouth, we are able to scan inside the mouth with accuracy and ease. At West Coast Dental Milling Centre, we have the technology to accept digital impression scans from most companies including iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, Carestream CS 3500, and many more!
3D Printers

3D Printers

To meet the demands of todays new technologies we need equipment to match. This is where 3D printers come into play. Here at West Coast we are able to produce very accurate models to make crown and bridge work. This step will save the labs valuable production time and the cost that goes into produce a model manually.
Milling Machines

Milling Machines

The crowns that we produce are milled on a solid zirconia block in a highly accurate milling machine. These machines are able to mill other materials such as lithium discilicate and PMMA.
Laboratory Desktop Scanners

Laboratory Desktop Scanners

Accurate duplication is key into milling out crown. To make a digital file from stone models, we use the finest scanners from 3Shape. With 4 cameras that are 5 MP each, the scanning accuracy and speed of these scanners makes production efficient and well detailed.

Our Milling Process

ScanningStep 1

Scanning

Models and digital impressions are scanned in lab to prepare for designing
DesigningStep 2

Designing

Through our design software we are able to place margins and create a crown
MillingStep 3

Milling

Our created crowns are then milled on a zirconia disc in a controlled milling machine.
SinteringStep 4

Sintering

After milling the crowns are cut from the zirconia disc, and sinterd in a furnace to crystallize
